“We represent many large Israeli companies, among which a producing and exporting company of chemicals. When our relationship started their sales were only some USD 50 mln a year, today it is more than USD 400 mln. Over the years we have helped them to acquire companies in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Italy and to start their own subsidiaries in Russia, Ukraine, Belgium and Turkey. We were involved in negotiations with the sellers, their banks and regulators. This involvement included the drafting of all agreements, advising on labour issues, tax planning and litigation. Currently we are helping them in their corporate housekeeping, trade agreements and international tax.
Another example of a typical client is a US based company that operates as a contractor for an Israeli company on a project in Africa. The company was not paid for its services (some USD 1,5 mln) , which necessitated us to obtain a judgment in the United States and enforce it in the Netherlands and in Israel. This took 2 years of litigation simultaneously in the United States, the Netherlands and Israel. In such cases it is challenging to have an efficient system of case management and, since our firm is able to handle this sort of multijurisdictional matters with our own offices, it was pretty rewarding that our involvement led to a clear victory for our client.”
