Traditionally, we maintain a multi-branched network in the financial world. We have to, in view of our business law and transaction practice, in which these parties play indispensable parts. Partly as a result of the strongly increased global interest in the performance of the financial world, the sector now faces an ever tightening supervision system, for instance Sarbanes-Oxley and supervisory authorities such as DNB and AFM in Nederland, but also the SEC, that has far-reaching powers that are not restricted to the United States alone. That requires that our lawyers not only have excellent transaction skills, but also in-depth knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework.
